FAQ
The main difference lies in the number of phases and function complexity.
ADL200N-CT: Single-phase meter, suitable for homes, shops, and other single-phase supply scenarios. Focuses on high-precision metering and fast response for single-phase circuits, with a smaller size (1 module).
ADL400N-CT: Three-phase meter, suitable for industrial parks, commercial buildings, PV plants, and other three-phase supply scenarios. Supports configurable 3-phase 4-wire / 3-phase 3-wire.
Selection Guide: Choose based on your power supply system type. Choose ADL200N-CT for single-phase systems, and ADL400N-CT for three-phase systems.
Yes, they are fully interchangeable. Both products use the exact same CT series (80A/26.7mA, 120A/40mA, 200A/66.67mA, 300A/100mA). This means if you use both single-phase and three-phase meters in a project, you can standardize CT spare parts and reduce inventory variety.
The manual (pages 12-13) provides detailed steps:
In the display interface, press and hold the ▲ button for >3 seconds to enter the password screen “PASS0000”.
Briefly press ▼ to increase value, press and hold ▲ to shift cursor, enter the default password 0001.
Press and hold ▲ for >3 seconds to confirm password, enter address modification screen “addr x”.
Briefly press ▼ to modify value, press and hold ▲ to shift cursor.
After modification, press and hold ▲ for >3 seconds to enter “SAVE YES”, then press and hold ▲ again to save and exit.
The ADL200N-CT is designed for single-phase applications with simplicity in mind. If negative power is displayed (indicating reverse current direction), the simplest solution is to swap the two leads of the CT secondary side at the meter terminals. If remote direction identification is needed, you can determine energy flow by reading the forward/reverse energy registers.
Summary
ADL200N combines 50ms fast response, external CT flexibility, and Class B accuracy in a 1-module design. It enables reliable anti-backfeed control and real-time monitoring for residential energy systems.
