FAQ

What is the difference between ADL400(MID) and standard ADL400?

The ADL400(MID) has obtained MID certification, complying with EU Directive 2014/32/EU for measuring instruments, with M1 mechanical environment and E2 electromagnetic environment adaptability, suitable for European and international markets. The multi-tariff function supports 4 tariffs (spike, peak, flat, valley) while the standard version supports 8 tariffs. Other metering functions and accuracy remain the same.

What are the benefits of MID certification for users?

MID certification means the product meets unified EU standards for measuring instruments and can be legally used for trade settlement, cost allocation, etc. in EU member states. The certification ensures metering accuracy, reliability, and long-term stability, providing legal protection and credibility for users.

How to choose the current specification?

Choose based on actual load current: Direct connection 10(80)A or 10(100)A for circuits with maximum current not exceeding 80A/100A; CT operated 1(6)A requires external current transformers, suitable for high-current circuits. Please refer to the wiring diagrams in the manual for correct connection.

How to set the multi-tariff function?

4 time zones, 4 schedule tables, and 14 daily time periods can be set via keys or Modbus communication, corresponding to 4 tariffs (spike, peak, flat, valley). The meter has a built-in real-time clock and automatically switches tariffs according to settings, storing historical tariff energy data.

Does the product support harmonic measurement?

Yes, the ADL400(MID) supports 2nd-31st individual harmonic voltage/current measurement, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), fundamental power, and harmonic power. Relevant data can be read via communication for power quality analysis reference.

Summary

The core advantage of ADL400(MID) lies in its MID certification, complying with EU Measuring Instruments Directive, ensuring accuracy and credibility for trade settlement. It offers high-precision measurement, harmonic analysis, multi-tariff management, and up to 48-month historical data storage, providing comprehensive data support for energy management and cost allocation. Its compact DIN-rail design and standard Modbus communication interface facilitate system integration, making it an ideal choice for refined energy management in European and international projects.
