Overview

The APM801 is the high-accuracy version of the APM series, featuring 0.2S class energy metering designed for applications requiring precise energy accounting and revenue metering. Building upon all the functions of the APM series—including full electrical measurement, four-quadrant energy, demand analysis, and extreme value statistics—it enhances voltage and current measurement accuracy to Class 0.2 and active energy accuracy to Class 0.2S, fully complying with IEC 62053-22 international standards. Its modular design supports flexible expansion of I/O, analog, communication, and temperature monitoring functions, meeting various needs from simple monitoring to complex control. The APM801 is the ideal choice for substations, power plants, and high-energy-consuming enterprises for accurate cost accounting and energy efficiency management.

FAQ

What is the main difference between APM801 and APM800?

The core difference lies in accuracy. The APM801 enhances voltage/current measurement accuracy to Class 0.2 and active energy accuracy to Class 0.2S, fully complying with IEC 62053-22, making it suitable for applications requiring precise cost accounting and revenue metering. Additionally, the pulse constant on the APM801 is programmable, while it is fixed on the APM800.

How to set the pulse constant on APM801?

Enter “Settings” -> “Puls” menu on the panel, input the desired pulse constant value (range 0-9999). The actual pulse constant is the set value × 100. If set to 0, the default values are used: 8000 imp/kWh for 1A input, 4000 imp/kWh for 5A input.

How many expansion modules can be connected?

Up to 3 expansion modules can be connected, subject to module combination rules: MCP/MCE/MPNET cannot be duplicated, and some modules have installation sequence requirements.

How to view event logs?

In the measurement interface, press ▶ until “SOE” appears, then press Enter to view the last 128 event records. If an SD card module is installed, data is automatically synchronized to the SD card.

Summary

As the high-accuracy version of the APM series, the APM801 perfectly combines 0.2S class energy metering with modular flexible design. It not only inherits the comprehensive measurement and recording functions of the APM series but also meets demanding application requirements such as revenue metering and cost allocation with its higher accuracy. Programmable pulse output, multi-protocol communication support, and rich expansion modules make it suitable both as an independent high-accuracy metering point and for seamless integration into large EMS or SCADA systems. For projects pursuing data accuracy and long-term investment value, the APM801 is a trustworthy choice.
