Overview

The APM810 is the power quality analysis version of the APM series. Building upon 0.5 class full electrical measurement, it adds powerful harmonic analysis capabilities. It measures 2nd to 63rd individual harmonics, total odd/even harmonics, voltage crest factor, telephone influence factor (TIF), and current K-factor, helping users deeply diagnose grid pollution. The APM810 also retains complete functions such as full electrical measurement, four-quadrant energy, demand analysis, extreme value statistics, and event logging, and supports modular expansion of I/O, analog, communication, and temperature modules. It is the ideal choice for industrial sites, data centers, and commercial buildings requiring harmonic monitoring and mitigation.

FAQ

What is the main difference between APM810 and APM800?

The core difference lies in power quality analysis capability. The APM810 adds advanced functions including 2nd-63rd individual harmonic measurement, total odd/even harmonics, voltage crest factor, telephone influence factor (TIF), and current K-factor, making it suitable for applications requiring in-depth harmonic diagnosis. The APM800 only provides basic unbalance and phase angle measurements.

What is the harmonic measurement accuracy of APM810?

According to IEC 61557-12, accuracy is ±1% for 2nd-42nd harmonics and ±2% for 43rd-63rd harmonics (at 50Hz).

How to view individual harmonic data?

In the measurement interface, press ▶ until “THD” appears, then press Enter to enter the harmonic menu. Select “UH THD” or “IH THD” and press Enter again to view the 2nd-63rd individual harmonic content for each phase voltage or current.

Does APM810 support harmonic data logging?

Yes. If the MLOG expansion module (with SD card) is installed, the meter can periodically log harmonic data, including total harmonics, odd/even harmonics, and 2nd-63rd individual harmonics with min/max values for each phase.

What are the applications of Telephone Influence Factor (TIF) and K-Factor?

TIF is used to assess the interference level of harmonics on telephone communication lines; K-Factor measures a transformer’s capability to handle harmonic currents, helping select appropriate transformer ratings or assess overload risks for existing transformers.

Summary

As the power quality analysis expert of the APM series, the APM810 integrates 0.5S class energy metering with comprehensive harmonic analysis functions. It not only performs routine electrical monitoring and cost accounting but also deeply reveals harmonic pollution in the grid, providing a complete view from 2nd to 63rd harmonics, along with professional indicators such as TIF and K-Factor. Modular design and multi-protocol communication support allow flexible adaptation to various application scenarios. For customers needing to proactively manage power quality and prevent harmonic-related failures, the APM810 is an indispensable monitoring tool.
