FAQ
Connect L1/+ and L2/- to the system lines (for single-phase AC or DC, L1/+ to positive, L2/- to negative; for three-phase, also connect L3). PE must be connected to the earth terminal block.
Check if the auxiliary power wiring matches the diagram and measure the voltage (AC85~265V). If voltage is correct, press the selftest button to verify the device status.
Verify CAN bus connections between AIM-T500L, ASG200, and AIL200-12. Ensure the wiring is correct and terminals are tight. Check if the communication LEDs flash during location.
For long distances, use shielded twisted pair (≥1.0mm²) and add a 120Ω termination resistor at both ends of the bus.
Summary
The ASG200 test signal generator is a compact and reliable device dedicated to insulation fault location in industrial IT systems. By injecting a defined 20V/5Hz signal, it works seamlessly with AIM-T500L and AIL200-12 to pinpoint faulty branches in less than 5 seconds. Its wide system voltage range, CAN communication, and easy DIN rail mounting make it a versatile choice for mines, chemical plants, data centres, and other critical power applications.
