Function

Insulation MonitoringMeasures insulation resistance (15-999kΩ) with adjustable alarm threshold (50-999kΩ). Response time ≤3s, test voltage ≤13V, current ≤50μA.
Load Current MonitoringMonitors current from 2.1A to 60A (accuracy ±5%), alarm set 5-80A adjustable.
Transformer Temperature MonitoringUses two Pt100 sensors, range -50℃ to +200℃, alarm 0-200℃ adjustable.
Fault Location Injects a location signal (≤12V, ≤1mA peak) into the IT system when insulation fault occurs; works with AIL series locators to pinpoint the faulty circuit.
Alarm OutputsTwo independent relay outputs (AC250V/3A, DC30V/3A) for over-temperature, overload, insulation, or system faults.
Wire Break DetectionContinuously monitors L1/L2, FE/KE, TC, and CT connections; gives alarm within 2s on disconnection.
CommunicationRS485 interface with Modbus-RTU protocol for BMS/SCADA integration; CAN interface for communication with AIL locators and AID series display units.
Event LoggingStores up to 20 fault events with time stamps for later analysis.
Self–diagnosisBuilt-in self-test verifies proper operation of monitoring circuits.

FAQ

How many AIM-M300 units can be connected to one AID150/200 display?

Up to 16 AIM-M300 units can be monitored by a single AID150 (via RS485) or AID200 (via CAN). The system number must be set accordingly.

What does “FK” or “LL” on the display mean?

“FK” indicates FE/KE terminal disconnection (ground wire). “LL” indicates L1/L2 disconnection (system power lines). Both trigger an insulation alarm and need immediate wiring check.

Can the AIM-M300 locate the exact faulty circuit?

Yes, when used with AIL series fault locators (AIL150-4/8 or AIL160-6) and proper wiring, it injects a locating signal and displays the faulty branch number on the AIM-M300 screen.

How to set the current alarm value for a given transformer?

According to transformer capacity: 10kVA → 45A, 8kVA → 35A, 6.3kVA → 28A, 5kVA → 22.5A, 3.15kVA → 14A. Enter the AIM-M300 menu and adjust the “load current alarm” parameter.

What is the default password for the AIM-M300?

The factory default password is 0001. It can be changed via the “Other Settings” menu.

Summary

The AIM-M300 medical intelligent insulation monitor delivers comprehensive protection for IT power systems in critical medical areas. Combining insulation, current, and temperature monitoring with active fault location, it helps operators quickly detect and pinpoint ground faults, preventing power interruptions and ensuring patient safety. Dual communication interfaces allow seamless integration with building management systems and remote displays. With its robust design, extensive self-diagnostics, and event logging, the AIM-M300 is the ideal choice for new hospital constructions or upgrades of existing medical facilities.
