FAQ
AMB100D(/W) is signalpowered, drawing energy from the measured circuit. For independent auxiliary power, choose AMB100D(/W)P1 with external DC supply (follows bus voltage).
AMB100D supports 4 NTC temperature sensors (–20…150℃) and 3 leakage current inputs (require external Hall sensor with DC 5V output). Temperature sensor tip sizes: Ø12mm, Ø8mm, and Ø6mm cylinder; cable lengths 2m or 4m; colourcoded.
Units are daisychained via RJ45 ports (RS485 I to RS485 II) using ModbusRTU protocol, and finally connected to an AMB10 display or touch screen. RS485 distance up to 1200m; LORA range depends on site conditions.
All alarm thresholds (overvoltage, undercurrent, temperature, leakage, etc.) can be read and modified via Modbus communication. Alarm status can be queried in real time.
Yes. It stores the last 12 months of percircuit active energy, as well as current and previous year energy, facilitating energy analysis. Maximum demand values with timestamps for voltage, current, and power are also recorded.
Yes, the leakage Hall sensors need an external DC power supply (typically ±12V or ±15V); the device does not provide this power and it must be separately supplied.
Summary
The AMB100-D delivers comprehensive DC monitoring in a single device, covering voltage, multiple output currents, power, energy, leakage, temperature, and humidity. Signal-powered design reduces installation complexity, while RS485 or LORA enables seamless integration. Programmable alarms detect insulation deterioration and overloads early, safeguarding DC supply. Ideal for space-constrained applications requiring reliable DC busway supervision.
